It's a new year with a better beginning. Here is a summary of some common problems and solutions from our customers in the past when using APM products, which we hope can effectively help our customers to improve the work efficiency.
1. DC-DC abnormality when use SP-3U/6U series power supply.
Because SP-3U/6U series power switch is a strong power control switch, please operate quickly when closing or disconnecting and make sure that once in place to avoid pulling the arc to cause a large inrush current and trigger the hardware DC-DC abnormal protection. DC-DC abnormal protection caused by closing the switch is a normal phenomenon. Restarting the power supply to recover, to ensure that the internal thermal devices to restore the normal state, please wait 30s at least before closing the switch again.
2. The rated voltage of the 1U or 2U DC power supply cannot be adjusted.
For example: SP40VDC1000W DC power supply output 40V, because the current limit value default of power supply is 40A, its voltage can not be set to 40V. The current limit value needs to be set to 25A at first. It can be simple to understand through Ohm's Law. But when you are working in a time crunch, you may be anxious and make the wrong judgment that the power supply is malfunctioning
3. During the test, it is found that the electronic load does not pull the load, what problems need to be investigated?
Firstly, check whether the input line is correctly connected, and then check whether the starting load voltage of the electronic load is set, set the starting load voltage to 0 or set it to lower than the input voltage.
4. The electronic load reports (OV) overvoltage alarm in the process of turning on, but the actual input voltage is within the input voltage range of the load.
APM electronic load voltage, current, power and resistance have three grades, you can check whether the input voltage is during the current grade range. If not, please switch to the appropriate gear.
5. Try to restore factory settings
If the problem still cannot be solved successfully, it is possible that the tester has set multiple protection functions, which has triggered the occurrence of anomalies. In this case, you can refer to the user manual to restore the factory settings, and it may resolve the problem
6. Confirm alarm information and device information
Provide the alarm information shown on the device panel and the device information to our technical support engineers to help solve the problem as soon as possible.
